House of Hope Wichita
is affiliated with the National House of Hope to provide residential care for troubled teens and their families. We currently offer Christian Counseling to families for all family related issues. Our residential facility will be developed soon.
Our values are the foundation we base our everyday decisions, our development principles, and our counseling principles. These values rest on the belief that the Word of God is the inerrant Truth of God revealed through the Holy Spirit to man, and that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, sent to earth to redeem man to God through His death and resurrection. The Holy Spirit, fully God, is our Comforter, present with us daily until Christ returns.
Through Him our work will illustrate these values:
Ephesians 1:22-23 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church; which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
We acknowledge that we are under the leadership and authority of the Lord Jesus Christ. When our ministry’s purposes and plans are in alignment with Him, the fullness of His power and authority are at work in and through us to make us successful.
Ephesians 3:10 His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms.
We acknowledge that as members of the church of Jesus Christ, it is our purpose and calling, according to God’s intent, to understand, walk in and reveal the multifaceted nature of God to all of creation.
Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
We acknowledge that Hope is contagious, when we persevere in faith, with our eyes on the goal, our actions and our testimonies spur one another on.
John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
We believe that there are two kingdoms, one belonging to our Lord, and the other leads to death and destruction. Jesus came that we might have abundant life. We are committed to live, teach and model abundant life.
John 13:35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
Love is the most addictive factor of the Kingdom of God; grace giving, truth telling, mercy revealing love. We desire to offer this love to each other and to everyone that comes into our midst.
Matthew 6:10 Your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
We acknowledge that Jesus Christ is returning to rule and reign on earth. We desire to build His Kingdom in such a way, that He does not need to remodel it when He comes back.
